West Ham United fans should be super jealous of Everton as new footage emerges from Merseyside

Everton have shown West Ham fans what they missed out on by moving to the London Stadium in fresh footage of their new stadium on Bramley-Moore Dock.

There has been plenty of frustration among Hammers fans ever since moving from the Boleyn Ground to the Olympic stadium.

Typical of an arena with a track around, the experience is harmed by the stands being further away from the pitch when compared to a purpose-built football stadium.

In the latest footage emerging from the Toffees’ new ground, supporters in East London have been left frustrated at what they could have had when moving stadium.

In a post to their X account for the stadium on 8 October, the gantry walk has been shown at the arena with some amazing views on show.

The stands are fully filled with seats it seems with just the pitch missing as the inside of the ground appears to be nearly complete.

This looks like an ideal example of a stadium built for purpose with seats right on the edge of the pitch which will help create a superb atmosphere.

This has always been the complaint from those against the London Stadium with away fans also being left unsatisfied by a visit to E20.

Although a move away from Upton Park may have felt necessary at the time, potentially building a ground could have been more beneficial for supporters based on what Everton are doing.

There are financial benefits for the club by playing at the stadium as they pay just £3million a year despite the £18m yearly running costs [Kieran Maguire, 7 August].

There are certainly drawbacks from a fans perspective but for the club, the move has helped them become more financially stable and more competitive in the Premier League.
