West Ham United face competition as Leeds United shortlist Watford forward Ismaila Sarr
West Ham United could face competition for Watford forward Ismaila Sarr as Leeds United shortlist the Senegal international as a potential replacement for Raphinha.
ExWHUemployee wrote via his Patreon account on Friday morning (17 June) that the Hammers were paying special attention to Sarr, with David Moyes eying a summer transfer.
However, it has been reported by Foot Mercato on Tuesday 2 August that Leeds have now shortlisted the 24-year-old, who could potentially be keen on a move to Elland Road.

If Sarr does move to Leeds over West Ham it would be a kick in the teeth for Moyes, with the forward able to operate in a variety of positions across the front line.
Furthermore, he would add some electric pace that Gianluca Scamacca and Michail Antonio don’t quite offer the Hammers.
If West Ham did move for the Watford man, they would surely fancy their chances of bringing the forward to the London Stadium.
The Hammers finished the Premier League season in a much higher position than Leeds and also have European football to look forward to in the upcoming season.

Leeds have been very active in the transfer window thus far and could well move fast to get a deal over the line for Sarr.
The Yorkshire side haven’t been slow to get deals done and have proven themselves to be shrewd negotiators this summer.
It would be a huge shame for West Ham to miss out on a proven player such as Sarr.
If the Hammers can add Sarr to their ranks along with a left-back and another centre-half to cover Nayef Aguerd’s injury then it would’ve been a successful summer.
Time for the Hammers to react to this latest transfer development.
