West Ham United eye Trevor Chalobah transfer amid Chelsea pre-season snub
West Ham could sign Trevoh Chalobah after being left out of the Chelsea USA preseason tour squad.
It is clear that Julen Lopetegui is keen on adding another centre-back to his squad after already bringing in Max Kilman from Wolves.
This has seen the Hammers be linked to the likes of Jean-Clair Todibo who is yet to agree to a London Stadium switch [HITC].
Now the Spaniard could turn his attention to signing Chalobah who has been snubbed by new Blues boss, Enzo Maresca.
West Ham could sign Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea
Daniel Davis reported for The Daily Mail (page 66) on 23 July that the Irons are linked to the English defender who the Blues are willing to sell this summer.
West Ham could now step up their interest after the 25-year-old was left at home despite Chelsea travelling to the USA for a preseason camp.
It appears that the defender isn’t rated by new boss Marsesca who has now deemed him surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.
This has certainly come out of the blue after the former Lorient loanee featured regularly towards the end of last season in the Premier League.

Chalobah could prove to be a perfect addition for the Hammers alongside Kilman with both players comfortable with the ball at their feet.
This would certainly allow Lopetegui to carry out his tactical vision better than with the likes of Kurt Zouma or Konstantinas Mavrapanos at centre-back.
In other West Ham news, the club are in the race to sign a Bayern Munich star.
