West Ham signing Bristol City winger Alex Scott a no brainer

West Ham United are interested in signing young Bristol City wonder Alex Scott in the ongoing transfer window, as per Bristol World.

The Hammers have been in the market to sign players to strengthen the squad ahead of the next campaign where they will be taking part in Europe once again.

Scott is one of the most highly-rated youngsters in English football and as per the report, he has also been attracting interest from the likes of Leeds United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Therefore, it is important that the Irons make a quick move and ensure that they complete the signing of the England U19 international

Bristol City chief Brian Tinnion sent a warning this week, insisting it would take a “big, big, big offer” in order to get the Championship club listening.

Worth every penny

It is no surprise that people talk about Scott in high regard as he has showcased his talent in the U19 European Championships where he is one of the standout performers.

He was also the standout performer for the club in the Championship in the 2021-22 season where he managed to score four goals and provided two assists in 38 appearances [Transfermarkt].

For the long-term of success of any club in any league, they need to have a core of local players who are match-winners on their given days.

It is because of this reason Manchester City have spent tons of money on the likes of Jack Grealish and Kalvin Phillips, both of whom might not become regular at the club.

Therefore, it is time that West Ham must follow that same route and start signing the best young talent in English football and in the face of David Moyes, they have one of the best coaches to nurture those players.

Time to go all out.
