West Ham must sign Etienne Green ahead of Tottenham Hotspur

West Ham and Tottenham Hotspur are in a reported two-way tussle to sign St. Etienne goalkeeper Etienne Green.

Last week, TEAMtalk reported that the two London clubs have shown an interest in the 21-year-old shot stopper.

Green, who has represented France at the youth level, is actually born in England and is now being linked with a move back to the shores of the United Kingdom.

This is the perfect opportunity for the Hammers to continue building for the future and getting one over their arch-rivals is going to be just as sweet as signing a wonder-kid.

Lukasz Fabianski is in the final few months of his contract and it seems that he’s likelier to leave than stay, at the moment.

While Alphonse Areola is signed on a loan, the club would possibly consider making the deal permanent in the summer.

He would only agree to it if he’s being handed regular playing minutes and that would be possible if Fabianski steps out of the way.

Green seems to be a promising keeper who could one day become the Hammers number one.

West Ham

He’s certainly got plenty of potential and having watched him play for, we’re convinced that the Hammers will be signing a keeper with a high ceiling.

Battling Spurs for his signature is certainly going to be hard, but these are initial stages and there’s no credible interest from either of the two sides currently.

Hopefully, the Hammers soon substantiate their interest in the youngster with maybe an enquiry or an initial offer to test the waters and let the player know that they mean business.
