Danny Dyer shares new Jarrod Bowen return date at West Ham United
Jarrod Bowen has set his sights on a February return for West Ham United after sustaining an injury against Liverpool and it should provide fans with a huge sense of relief.
Bowen has been at the forefront of any attempts to revive the season for West Ham, but an injury sustained against Liverpool provided significant concern with worries he could be out for several months.
Had that been the case, the Irons would have struggled to make anything out of the season, but an update provided by Danny Dyer should be cause for optimism at the London Stadium.
Speaking via the Live and Let Dyers podcast [6 January], Dyer, the father of Bowen’s fiancé, said: “We don’t want to put a timeframe on it too much but Jarrod would like to be back for February.”
Jarrod Bowen return will be massive for West Ham
While it’s unlikely Bowen’s return will provide the level of miracle needed to turn things around at the London Stadium at the moment, it will certainly provide a huge boost given his importance to the team.
Of course, the returning Bowen could be a completely different prospect if Julen Lopetegui is to be sacked imminently as claimed by talkSPORT [5 January].
It cannot be undermined by anyone how valuable Bowen is to this Hammers side, but an overreliance on the forward has proved costly in their bid to progress as a club.

His return will be a welcomed boost but the way of playing needs to change if they are to get the best out of him for the remainder of the campaign, and if Graham Potter is appointed [Sean Whetstone], he could be the perfect man to achieve that.
The injury makes any January move highly unlikely for the England international and if he can return by February, it will be a huge boost for the Irons.
In other West Ham news, the Irons want to sign this Super Cup-winning midfielder.
