West Ham civil war: Heads to roll, Sullivan to be forced into extra sacking
Julen Lopetegui might not be the only figure to be walking through the West Ham United exit doors in the coming days.
It certainly feels like the Spaniard has a matter of hours left until David Sullivan pulls the trigger despite just six months in the role [The Times], with the official process now being started.
Considering his team’s form on the pitch since taking over from David Moyes, sitting 14th in the Premier League with six wins from 20 matches so far. It is absolutely inevitable.
However, Sullivan cannot be entirely surprised after Lopetegui’s appointment was greeted with moans and groans, forcing many supporters to regret their treatment of Moyes before his summer exit.
With the writing on the wall for the current head coach, the thought of him taking training on Tuesday morning has raised a few eyebrows, but yet more drama has emerged from the London Stadium.
Tim Steidten drama emerges in new West Ham United update
Tim Steidten has been asked to stay away from Rush Green, according to The Telegraph, with the technical director’s relationship with Lopetegui showing signs of a rift, though the club has denied these rumours.
There seems to be a theme emerging with Steidten and the commanding figures being put in charge at the London Stadium, with the exact same situation arising with Moyes during his final season [Daily Mail].
GiveMeSport even reported at the beginning of December that the technical director had started planning for the head coach’s successor, becoming a pivotal figure in the situation.
How on earth can Sullivan continue to trust Steidten when he continues to belittle every figure who is given the reigns at the London Stadium?
It is horrendous teamwork from the German, already plotting his coworker’s demise before a decision has been made by the club’s hierarchy. The sooner he’s out the exit doors, the better for the club.

While it remains to be seen who would take over his role for the Irons, his absence would create a much more friendly environment and atmosphere for the players, staff and fans to flourish and enjoy.
If Steidten is set on combatting any decision made by Sullivan in the future, and given his history this could be very possible, then the Hammers are much better off without him.
