View: West Ham Twitter admin savages Moussa Dembele after Lyon win, fans will love this

West Ham United’s official Twitter has absolutely savaged Lyon attacker Moussa Dembele with a hilarious tweet mocking the forward after last night’s [April 14] victory.

The Frenchman’s theatrics in the first leg saw Hammers defender Aaron Cresswell wrongly sent off in the first half.

Not only was the ball heading away from the goal – not warranting a red card – but the forward threw himself to the ground under very little contact from the left-back which saw the referee make a disgraceful decision.

The camera’s caught Dembele winking at the camera in the aftermath of the incident and the Hammers admin saw that as the perfect chance to have a swipe at the 25-year-old with a hilarious tweet.

Karma.

Football always finds a way to serve players, like Dembele, who have successfully gotten away with their sly tricks look very stupid.

It was perfect Karma that Lyon got knocked out of the Europa League after the referee did seemingly everything he could to give them the advantage in the first leg.

He had a very poor game against the Irons last night which was great to see after his smugness in the London Stadium encounter.

Players need to realise that there are cameras on them at every single moment when playing which means they can’t get away with anything which has left the Frenchman red-faced.

It is all fun and game for the supporters but David Moyes and his players will have full focus on the semi-finals and Eintracht Frankfurt.

They are set to be the Irons’ toughest test yet having just beaten Barcelona in the Camp Nou so they will have to be on top form to beat the Bundesliga side.

Only three games stand in the way of the Hammers and the Europa League trophy.
