Tim Steidten held the key for West Ham United in summer transfer window

West Ham United technical director Tim Steidten has shown his hand a lot in the summer transfer window.

The German has been at the centre of most negotiations to bring players in across and has helped bolster the Hammers’ ranks.

This isn’t just hearsay either as a common theme among West Ham’s arrivals throughout the summer window was the importance of Steidten.

Players such as Niclas Fullkrug [WHUFC.com, 6 August], Crysencio Summerville and even Jean Clair-Todibo [Fabrizio Romano, 9 August] have all managed to be convinced to make the move to the London Stadium by Steidten.

The German’s impact on the squad is unmatched and he has proven his worth this season, especially since the Hammers needed a massive rejuvenation following their poor performances across the board last term.

West Ham United could be in for a special season

Although the season likely hasn’t started out as well as Lopetegui would’ve wanted, this doesn’t mean that the Hammers aren’t in for a whirlwind of a season.

Considering the talent that has been added to West Ham’s ranks, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them cruise their way to the European places this term.

Their opening fixtures have been fairly tough and without all their new additions still needing to be gelled into the squad, there’s still plenty of room for improvement.

Those that have been incorporated into the first team such as Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Max Kilman have drastically improved the squad’s overall performance.

If this can be repeated across the board, the Hammers could find themselves in for a stellar 2024/25 campaign.

In other West Ham news, the Hammers have made a two-year contract offer to a free agent.
