Jarrod Bowen deserves it as new West Ham United contract now close

West Ham United star Jarrod Bowen is expected to put pen to paper on a new contract soon, with his wages due to be doubled, according to the Daily Mail on 28 August.

Bowen wrote himself into eternal West Ham history last season as he scored the winning goal late in the Europa Conference League final, and he has picked up right where he left off so far this season with a string of impressive performances.

The report follows a successful transfer window, and the Hammers have now rightfully made his new contract a priority, and it could be done within the coming weeks.

The winger scored on the opening day of the season at Bournemouth, got another with a beautifully delicate goal at the Amex Stadium as his side ran out 3-1 victors over Brighton, and followed it up with yet another against Luton to make it three goals from the Hammers’ opening four games this season.

Added to this, Bowen also provided an assist against Brighton, setting up Michail Antonio for the Hammers’ third goal of the game as he showed he has got many more strings to his bow than just goalscoring.

Bowen is one of the most important players at the club, constantly providing an outlet for his team when they need to break quickly, and putting in the work all over the pitch with high intensive pressure that doesn’t give his opponent a moment’s rest.

His performances at the London Stadium have earned him links with some of England’s biggest clubs including Liverpool [FootballTransfers] and Arsenal [The Sun] in a display of how highly regarded the winger is, but a new West Ham contract on big money to tie him down is the perfect move for all parties.

No one deserves it more than Bowen.

In other West Ham news, the Hammers have responded amid links of a player exit.
