David Sullivan speaks out about David Moyes situation at West Ham as he slams display v Brighton
West Ham United co-owner David Sullivan has backed David Moyes to continue in his role as head coach despite slamming the club’s result against Brighton.
The Hammers fell to a damning 4-0 loss at Brighton in the Premier League on 4 March with many fans turning against Moyes with jeers and chants at the final whistle.
Speaking to Hammers News (5 March) Sullivan confessed that the West Ham United board are behind Moyes but admitted the result against Brighton wasn’t good enough.

“We are behind the manager,” Sullivan told Hammers News. (5 March)
“Despite a very poor performance today.”
New low.
The performance and result against Brighton simply weren’t good enough and it’s hard to see how Moyes is still clinging on to his job at the London Stadium.
Brighton are a good side and it was always going to be tough to get some points from them, but being outfought and battled in every department is worrying.

Moyes has done a fantastic job in East London up until this season and it’s surely time for the club to look at alternatives to the Scot in the coming weeks.
Right now, it just seems like the Irons are going around in circles and it’s this kind of form that could see the club sleepwalk towards relegation.
Injuries haven’t helped matters this season but you can’t sugarcoat the fact that the best West Ham United team on paper for years has and is underperforming under Moyes.
Weak tactics and an inability to manage this exciting squad full of prime talents look to be a step too far for the Hammers head coach at the moment.
Something needs to change.
