West Ham dealt behind-the-scenes blow with Jordan Miles set to leave the club
Head of recruitment analysis Jordan Miles is set to leave West Ham, according to The Athletic.
The digital news platform reported online (19 July) that Miles will join Aberdeen as the club’s head of recruitment in the coming weeks, acting as Darren Mowbary’s successor, who left the Scottish club in May to join Southampton.
It is another blow behind-the-scenes for David Moyes who has already seen first-team coaches Mark Warburton and Paul Nevin depart the club.

Miles’ departure brings to an end seven years with the East London side. He was promoted to the position of head of recruitment analysis in 2018.
Changes
Miles was the man who recommended Tomas Soucek to David Moyes in January 2020 and the Czech Republic star would go on to play a key role in the side, demonstrating Miles’ talents.
His departure is yet another in a summer that has been full of change for the Hammers and they now find themselves with yet another position they need to fill.
Former club captain Declan Rice leaving the club has left a hole in midfield which needs sorting out however Moyes will already have enough on his plate with the need to bring in new first-team coaches.

Now the board will need to replace Miles after having already brought in Tim Steidten as the club’s new technical director. West Ham are also yet to make a summer signing with pressure to act mounting.
The club’s to-do list just keeps on getting bigger with time running out before the new Premier League season gets underway.
In other West Ham news, yet another player is set to leave for a Premier League rival.
