Winner named in West Ham United, Nottingham Forest and Everton race to sign Manchester United attacker Anthony Elanga
West Ham and Everton have lost the race to sign Manchester United attacker Anthony Elanga, according to the Daily Mail.
The media outlet [21 July] claim that the 21-year-old will be moving to Nottingham Forest this summer for a £15million fee.
He will have a medical in the coming days and decided to move to the City Ground due to his preference to work under Steve Cooper.
Can do better
It's a good thing the Hammers did not engage in any bidding war or enter advanced talks over signing the Sweden international.
His performances for Manchester United were far from spectacular and it remains to be seen how he fares at Forest.
They've already signed one attacking player from the Old Trafford club recently and that deal did not turn out too well.
Jesse Lingard, who appeared to have got his career back on track at West Ham, did not force his way back to the club, moved to Forest and is now a free agent.
Elanga is still young so he could improve but the Hammers can do better and by the looks of it, already are doing better.
As per the Evening Standard on 20 July, Manchester City's Carlos Borges will be snubbing Brighton in order to join the Hammers.
